About the portfolio and Snitzer / Michaels Editions
Fredric Snitzer and Gary Michaels collaborated in 1993 to publish the Portfolio Five project in order to fulfill the desire to represent The Dissidents of Cuba at that time. We gave our five artists free reign to create images to express their emotions, anger, individual passions and artistic skills. We spent over a year and a half working on the Portfolio Five, with our artists in attendance, and working side by side with the master print makers at Watanabe Studio.
